Capital Health System New Mercer Hospital

Anchor Health Properties is developing a next-generation hospital for Capital Health System – one that will leave patients saying “I can’t believe it’s a hospital.” The new hospital will provide a uniquely customer-focused environment that combines elements of retail and hospitality. A 330,000 SF Medical Office Building will be integrated into the design so that both visitors and physicians can walk directly from the M.O.B. to the clinical services and the patient bed tower without leaving the facility. A sunlit 5-story atrium will be the main focus for all of these project components and a promenade offering food service and appropriate retail opportunities for patients, visitors and employees will be the connecting link between the different areas. There will be a business center, a resource center and areas to wait in a peaceful setting both inside and outside in the many healing gardens. Building and landscape will work together to create an environment that is both welcoming and healing.
